Devon Cafe Surabaya

A cafe from Australia just opened in Pakuwon Mall. The interior is nice, with a minimalistic and clean style. They have many tables, so we don't have to queue to get sorted. Since it is new, we have prepared lots of tolerance in our pockets . The waiter visits our table many times to ask whether the food or drink they bring is ours, and many times, it is wrong, so they still try to get used to the serving system. The table is suitable for fine dining, where it is impolite to put your elbow on the table. In this case, the table is so wobbly and unstable that I even put out the oil lamp because I was worried that it would knock down if we suddenly moved. Contrary to the other part of Pakuwon Mall, the AC is so cold here. Perhaps the interior designer miscalculated the position of the AC outlet. It is very cold, and I think they put the fan at the top speed. The food is exceptional! I love it! We ordered Benedict bacon galette, Wagyu don, and oxtail fried rice. All of it tasted wonderful, and I'm so satisfied with it. Too bad we’re sitting right under the AC outlet, so all of it became cold, and the fat started forming. Next time, we will choose a different table. Will we be returning? Yes! Hopefully with better arrangement of the cafe.

All the food we ordered was so good! Loved the balance of the coffee! The modern Japandi interior is definitely a plus. Friendly and helpful staff. Ended up coming here a few times during my birthday week since I was in the area.. and the staff was thoughtful enough to come out and sing happy birthday. What an energy! They’re so sweet. Definitely one of the new places worth checking out at Pakuwon Mall. Keep up the great work guysss!!!

Nice place for eating and hang out. The food is tastes great and the portion is generous. Pastry and the dessert also yummy. The charging port is easily accesible also. The staff also quite active to offer refill for the tea. Defenitely one of the place to chill out also.

not a bad experience, the foods alright. Nutella Strawberry crepe is good, but a bit surprised the strawberry is so little… for that price just a small slice of strawberry? one portion just gets like one or at most 2 strawberries? otherwise all OK, interior is nice, great place to chill. The AC is cold on particular seats, a bit uncomfortable when seated for quite long

- Located inside the Pakuwon Mall - Honestly it’s alright. Nothing that wows me, just the regular fare of modern cafe serving crepes, caffeines and cocktails. - Ordered the Espresso & Citrus Tonic and it’s not bad. - It’s brightly lit and despite its location, there is no echo, so it’s easy to talk to your table mates

4 star only for their crepes and galette that i tried. Tried the baileys, not overly sweet, can taste the liquor. For galette, tried the 4 cheese, crispy texture, taste slight bitter because of the nearly burnt part (they left it out on the crepe maker for too long to get it crispy). Still, all of them kinda overprice though like hello it is thin crepe and u got them for idr100++. Coffee really standard taste. Hamburg sando rate 3 star, their 'devon secret sauce' apparently didn't taste like anything. The bread and patty quite okay, just they didn't have much color, not really interesting. Truffle fries they also use the fake truffle oil. Seriously, it tasted cheap instead of expensive. At first, we came at 8.30 on sunday and their crepe+galette weren't ready, but instead the menu available 10am++ were ready. If so then you need to correct your menu. I mean you open at 8am, so doesn't that mean you should have already done all of your preparation by then?

We enjoyed brunch at this lovely restaurant. We ordered Zach's croissant, Napolitan pasta, truffle mushrooms and cheese, and a strawberry shortcake slice for dessert. My favorite was Zach's croissant. It was savory and soft. The other items were also delicious and perfect for brunch. However, the prices were indeed high, especially with tax and service charges. The dining room, on the other hand, was very comfortable, bright, and clean.
